Chalkidiki, Porto Koufo and Toroni

Chalkidiki is a compact world on the planet, it is really pleasant region for those who dream of the Aegean Sea. The peninsula is located in the north of Greece and reminds the legendary trident of the sea-king Poseidon, which is consisting of three "fingers": Athos, Sithonia and Kassandra.

Sithonia is the middle "finger", the biggest "finger" of the peninsula Chalkidiki. One of the most beautiful resorts of Greece. It is located between Kassandra and Athos. Cozy bays, beautiful sandy beaches, a rave of colour, the most tasty dishes of Greek cuisine, constantly heat the imagination of tourist.

Porto Koufo and Toroni are most interesting sights of Sithonia.

Porto Koufo is the largest and safest bay of Sithonia. Translated from Greek «Koufo» it means "silent, quiet, deaf". It gave way to the expression: «Deafer than the Porto Koufo» about the person who badly hears. And really, the atmosphere of tranquillity and a pacification reigns here.

The subtropical Mediterranean climate with ideal temperature condition, and very pure sea, is very useful for prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases.

It is impossible, having visited lands of Sithonia and not to see Toroni, where you will be able to contact with ancient history. Ruins of ancient architectures of Byzantine and Christiane cathedrales, will undoubtedly leave at you the deepest unforgettable impressions.

Porto Koufo, Toroni are ones of the few places in the territory of Greece, where is permited and actively practices the diving.
